Somach Simmons & Dunn Attorneys Named in California Super Lawyers Magazine for 2010.

Stuart Somach, Sandra Dunn and Andrew Hitchings have been named by California Super Lawyers magazine as three of the top attorneys in California for 2010.  Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers.  Jacqueline McDonald of the firm's Fresno office has been named as a "Rising Star" by the magazine.  No more than 2.5 percent of the candidates are named to the Rising Stars list.  The selections for Super Lawyers are made by Law & Politics, a division of Key Professional Media, Inc. of Minneapolis, MN.  Each year, Law & Politics undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by Law & Politics' attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.  The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process except that:  (1) a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less and (2) candidates do not go through a peer evaluation.
