Mr. Carpenter joined the firm as an associate attorney in September 2009, after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Phyllis J. Hamilton of the United States District Court, Northern District of California.  His practice focuses on water, natural resources, and environmental law.  Mr. Carpenter’s practice includes representing both public and private clients in all phases of litigation before federal and state courts.  Mr. Carpenter earned his J.D. from the University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law in 2004.  While attending law school, he served as an extern to the Honorable Ming W. Chin of the California Supreme Court, the Honorable Ronald B. Robie of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, and the Honorable Edward J. Garcia, United States District Court, Eastern District of California.  Mr. Carpenter also worked as a legal intern for the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, Public Rights Division Summer Honors Program, Land/Environment/Natural Resources Section.  He is a member of the State Bar of California.
