Ms. Watterson joined the firm as a paralegal in May 2008. For four years prior to joining the firm she was a paralegal and legal secretary at the firm of Best Best & Krieger assisting attorneys in the areas of civil litigation, eminent domain, and natural resources. She now assists attorneys in the areas of environmental and land use law, litigation, and has experience with complex litigation matters, CEQA matters, writ procedure, preparation of administrative records, and trial. Ms. Watterson received her paralegal certificate from Stanislaus State University in 2003. Ms. Watterson currently teaches the Beginning Legal Secretary course in Sacramento and has done so for over four years on behalf of the Sacramento Legal Secretaries Association. In 2008, Ms. Watterson was appointed as the California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS) state officer chairman for Legal Secretaries, Inc. She currently leads a team of 11 instructors statewide in teaching the study courses for the CCLS state exam.
